So we find ourselves within an arms length in the race to the end of the year. Seriously though, where has this year gone? September was a bit of a weird month for me. I did not read too much, yet I am on 32 books for the year. This is going to my record year in book reading goals as far as I know (my GR goal was 20…).
I am not here to blow my own bubble tho, I thought I recap on what I did during the month, post wise. I have been thinking of doing monthly wrap ups, not sure if it will be a feature on my blog but we will have to see. September had more random posts than book reviews, I do not know if I should apologize or just go on doing what I am doing? My likes and comments were not very active either and I do not know if it is from my problems with WP acting funny or not. Oh Well…
September Posts were as follows:
Book Reviews:
#Untamed #NetGalley – Suzana E Flores 4 Sep
Epidemic o/t Living Dead- John Russo (#DNF at 39%) 6 Sept
Manga Classics- The Stories of Edgar Allan Poe 18 Sept
I will count # TheWinterRiddle #Sam Hooker #Netgally towards October, but will mention that I finished this before the 1st…
Metal Mondays were semi still coming in regularly . I have already missed this month’s Monday due to my Review. I am not so good at scheduling my posts so I do them as I get, or rather, make time for them…
September Metal Monday posts:
Entombed- Wolverine Blues
Soulfly- Ritual
Omnia- The Raven
Blind Guardian- The Bard’s Song
We had 2 Random Scribbles that were book related:
N.E.W.T.s Passed!!!!!
Dave Talks: Distraction Dinsdag where I was thinking of inserting a new segment for Tuesdays. I am still working on this. I will not be promising every Tuesday, but when I am happy with it, posts will be happening on these days in future.
I also posted a poem for WeWo:
WeWo- Street
I can’t say my poems are alltogether that popular, but I will still be putting them up when I can in the hope that it will spark some new creativity in me.
That was September for me. What lies ahead in October? Well its Haloween month for everyone I know so I am thinking of reading some more Lovecraft and Poe. I am also still in the process of reading 2 Netgally books as well as a sci-fi short story colection. Will see how that goes. I thought I could include their pictures as a taste of what is to come review wise (I hope!!!).
I am one chapter in and there has already been a battle, of to an interesting start…
A mango from a classic I have also not read before, hoping this will motivate me like the one of Poe’s short stories.
This is a compilation of sci-fi short stories written by not only sci-fi veterans, but also authors who served in a war for their countries. So far I have had a good time. Also, I love the cover!!!
So there we have it. September is gone, onwards we roll to October… What do you think of my Month In Review idea?
Go for whatever suits you – it’s your blog! 🙂 We don’t do summary posts at Re-enchantment, but there are plenty of those on the blogs we visit, and I always read them with interest 🙂

First, congrats on such a great set of numbers in regards to books! I hope the rest of the year can be just as good 🙂
I’m with Ola in regards what to post or not to post. Do what you “want” to. Let the numbers fall where they may. Because I’ll tell you, I think EVERYBODY felt September was a down month. I thought it was just me but every time I’m reading a monthly summary by somebody else, they express the same thing. So it’s definitely not you.
In regards to your poems, have you tried to search out other poetry sites on WP? I’d rather gouge my eyes out than do that, hahahaha, but since you are inclined that way, it might be an option.
I have to say, I’m pretty happy that you haven’t burned out on blogging. That being said, don’t be afraid to take a break. I know I’ll probably be pulling back in December because my whole family will be in the area for Christmas. As long as nobody kills anybody, it will be a complete success 😀
Finally, your monthly wrap up. I guess I’d say you’re going to have to decide what you want out of it to decide where you’re going with it. I know I do my Roundup&Ramblings so that when I do my Yearly Summary I can pull 12 sets of stats instead of having to figure everything out individually. I actually only really care about my pages read and average star rating. Some of what I include is because I like “X” in other peoples’ posts so I include it in mine I realize that isn’t very specific but a blog is like your home. It has to work for you and you have to feel comfortable there.

Thank you for the kind words. We will see how things go. Maybe i start with wrapups in the new year rather than now. But i am thinking its nice to have a look back at happenings of the month before

It definitely helps with your perspective of the month, especially if you end the month on a stinker of a book. A look back will remind you that the month was all bad 🙂

Looking forward to your progress on The Animal in Man. I got a review copy of that too and I’m very curious about it.
