August Recap

I am aware that September has been in full swing as today is the 5th already, but we had some technical difficulties as of the start op this month. Main difficulty being that Milou’s pc keyboard has packed up. This is sad, but for the time being we are making it work as best we can now.

August was a real busy month work wise. I worked quite long hours during some days, in cases I could count nearly 25 hours worked in the space of two days… Time for reading was sparse but I did manage to put up a few reviews. As far as my reading plans go, I did oke, I am happy with the amount I read. Starting from tomorrow I will be taking a few days of of work to recover, Milou will be taking some time of as well and I am happy for that.

Let us look at my month shall we?

Metal Monday:

As far as Meta Mondays are going I am happy. Tool finally released their whole album on streaming services. I shared some new found metal tracks as well as dedicate a song to the Amazon…
Kriegsmaschine- Residual Blight
Tool – Fear Inoculum
Sepultura- Ambush
Entropia- Poison

Book Hauls:
August saw me gather quite a vast amount of books… I have no way of knowing when I will be getting to them, but get to them I will. I think it is important to set some kind of reading plan up at the start of each month, helps keep track of what I deem important. I was going to set a ”do not buy more books” rule this month, but Net Galley already happened… More on that tomorrow…

Dave: Living Up To His Blog’s Name…
Net Galley Success…
One Book to Bring them all Together…

Non Book Related:
I wrote some quick updates just to fill in the times when I thought my blog got too quiet…

Some Stuff Happened While I was Gone…

That was what my month looked like in blogging. Not as impressive as some people I follow, but taking into regard the work and overall tiredness I experienced, I cnsider it a good month… I pumped out quite a few posts in the last few days of the month as I had been given a few unexpected free days. I was really happy about those.

Hope that September will be as good. I can’t help but feel that since June it seems this year is on a collision coarse to get into 2020. I am not sure I know how I feel about that…

Hope you are all well. Take care!

      1. Cool, will check your haul post out 🙂 I have read so much BL recently. I need to take a break after Cadian Honour unless something really peaks my interest. Mainly because I have too many things sent to me recently. My poor TBR pile.

      2. Yea, few authors have sent me a couple of novellas after getting in contact via my blog.

Also just said yes to review a horror novel due out in the coming months ..
And I need to catch up to my Netgalley titles. Two more reviews and I’m back up to 100% (phew!)

  1. I know you had mentioned the computer crapping out, but that is a wicked bummer that it is toast.

It does seem like a race to ’20 doesn’t it? Personally, I’m not looking forward to that. I’d like things to slow down!
