Metal Monday – Godsmack – Vampires

Welcome to the last Metal Monday for October people! I am sharing a song on behalf of Salty today, seeing as I have not been able to write a review in this past week I thought it fair that I would give him his VAMPIRES after all. Salty has recovered some what after I made him drop from the roof by throwing him with a vampire book, he is still a bit pissed of with me, but we seem to be back on speaking terms in some way.

Godsmack is not one of my favorite band names out there, but the guys made and seem to make some pretty great tunes even today still. Keeping with Halloween spirit, I decided to go with them anyhow. The song has no real lyrics apart from a voice that sounds like it comes of off a 60’s talk show asking questions regarding vampires while the music is simply a looping version of the main riff. Simple yet I like it enough to share it today. Hope you like it!

Lyrics:

Few creatures of the night have captured our imagination like Vampires

What explains our enduring fascination with Vampires?

What is it about the vampire myth that explains our intrest?

Is it the over telling of sexual lust, power, control?

Or is it a fascination with the immortality of the undead?

And what dark and hidden part of our Psyche are aroused and captivated by the legends of the undead?
(by the legends of the undead…..the legends of the undead)

The mystery of the undead will continues to fascinate the living

Vampires

Dead, dead, dead, dead, dead, dead

Few creatures of the night have captured our imagination like Vampires

What explains our enduring fascination with Vampires?

And what dark and hidden part of our Psyche are aroused and captivated by the legends of the undead?
(By the legends of the undead)
