Welcome to Wednesday Wordsday,

Today it is with some excitement that I can share with you a poem which sprung from my hand last night. As some of you might know, I have been struggling with writing for quite a few years. Last night I was going through my old attempts and something inside of me felt the urge to write. I sat down and let the words come to me. What I wrote down I can not say that it is any good, but I have finally written something in a nearly five year period… So please allow me to share the newest poem here on my blog. Today also marks my four hundredth Word Press post so I believe the stars were aligned in a good way for me to be able to share it with you today…

Unblocked?

This hand has been quiet
for far too long.
Has my mind quit,
or has all manner of inspiration gone?

I can not answer in truth,
neither will I lie.
The journey this far has been anything but smooth,
but I have given it time.

So much has transpired.
So much that could be written out,
but as much as I seemingly wanted, it felt uninspired.
Tonight the words are visibly about.

I have no way of knowing
How long this will continue,
but writing will go on as long as the words come flowing.
It is long past it’s due.

Come, pull up a chair.
Kick back and open up your mind.
Give me a glimpse of what goes on there…
