Yeah, I know, I am late to the party as always… But made it at least… This month’s prompt is The Road by Cormac McCarthy (should there be a space between the two c’s?). Even though I have never heard of this book and seeing as I have no idea what it is about, let us take a look at books that seem like they could take place on a road shall we?
Walking can most certainly be done on a road. You can even perish if you just keep on walking with no snacks or water for a certain amount of days. I’ve heard tales told of people going as far as preferring even human flesh as a form of sustenance…
If you do not feel like Walking, you can always opt for the faster means by doing a run I figure. To escape from your past, to try stay fit, to get somewhere, hey I ain’t judging…
You can even try take a car on the road if you want, just be careful on that gravel road in Nevada, be on the lookout for signs of recent digging on the road…
Β I am certain that Crusades can take place on a road, I believe that the reasons we have roads today was in no small way thanks to crusades. The people surely needed a faster way to travel to places to convert the heretics, am I right or am I talking out of my ass?
Every one’s road leads them to some sort of eternity, be it one where you feast on everlasting marshmallows or other feasting on you being a marshmallow is all up to you…
There we have have my little take on how we come from The Road to The Edge of Eternity. This post was pretty fun to do. I think it might become a monthly feature on my blog, but I am not making any promises…
Hope you have a great day.
Nice! I really liked how you took this and “ran” with it π You obviously put some thought into the progression, good job!

Glad you like itπ. Was not a lot of thought, basically had to pick the first book and then the rest just followed

Nice! π There’s a plane missing somewhere, but the crusades more than make up for it π
