Welcome to Metal Monday. Last week I never put up a post as I did was not really able to get out of bed, I am sorry for that. Today I have a song that will hopefully make up for that. I have shared quite a lot of Gojira in the last couple of months. Today’s song a one of the songs that will be coming out on this year’s album Fortitude, said to drop April 30th. I have given it a few listens, it is very different to the track Another World that was teased last year. I do like the sound of it thou, it opens up with some unique Gojira drumming and the vocalist’s voice sounds as great as it always does. Might sound a bit harsh on the eardrums for people not used to this kind of thing, but Gojira have a good message they are trying to convey as with all their songs. Activists for the preservation of Earth, our only planet, Gojira always seem to want push the point across that we should take better care of it. I can respect that.
Enjoy!
Lyrics:
Mortal, spawn on the altar
Caught in the heart of the blaze
The primal fear of disappearing
Becoming a ghost in the void
Death
Give a price, put a name
None of it real in this matter
Wandering, distracting,
Wishing the life of another self
We were born for one thing
Tame the greatest fear of all
We were born for one thing
Born to face the greatest fear of all
We’re all drawn into ourselves
In a collective coma
Remember gazing up for answers
But now we’re staring down
All is blur in the maze we put an end to all
We were born for one thing
Tame the greatest fear of all
We were born for one thing
Born to face the greatest fear of all
We’re no one
United
When we’re gone
