Metal Monday – The Halo Effect – Shadowminds

Welcome to another late Metal Monday. I should start writing these posts on a Friday before I get distracted with booze and gaming… Today’s band hit me just before the weekend happened and I am exited for it. Consisting out of ex Inflames band members, it just hit me from a Lunar Strain/Subteranian era of the band. I stopped listening to Inflames after Colony and never really got into their new stuff as they advanced more into a different way that I was not into. I now at least have this band to look forward to in 2022. Stating that there will be a release coming as early as 21 January and teasing us with a full music vid, I cannot explain how happy I am for old friends to have come together again.

Enjoy!

Lyrics:

One side of this watershed moment
Left the fair and true objective far behind
For fear of facing what rationale resigns to
The thought of you alone with demons on your mind

Ravaging the nerves
Overtaking consciousness
What was said and what was done
Now haunt the witching hour

Let the now begin today
To the past a swift farewell
Innocence is nothing
When shadowminds prevail
Let the fear be gone today
To oblivion we cast it down
When shadowminds prevail

Let go of this, the embers of the day
Bring not the fire to the combustible night
Rather have the anger extinguish the flames
Than numbing chemicals to keep it at bay

Ravaging the nerves
Overtaking consciousness
What was said and what was done
Now haunt the witching hour

Let the now begin today
To the past a swift farewell
Innocence is nothing
When shadowminds prevail
Let the fear be gone today
To oblivion we cast it down
When shadowminds prevail

Let the now begin today
To the past a swift farewell
Innocence is nothing
When shadowminds prevail
Let the fear be gone today
To oblivion we cast it down
When shadowminds prevail

Let the now begin
To oblivion we cast you down
Innocence is nothing
Don’t let shadowminds prevail
