Metal Monday – The Knack – My Sharona

Welcome to Metal Monday. Today a song out of the classics collection. There are two reasons for posting this song today. One: it was among my dad’s favorites and I understand wy, this song banged as hard back then as it does today. Two: I tested positive for covid last week even after I got my booster on the Sunday. Funnily enough there was a song that was reworded on this song called nine Coronas that I also find hillarious even though it is probably not a song that aged well with how the world persieves things. I do not much care for what the world thinks, it is my right to find laughs in things that others will probably not find funny, world would be a dull place if we all found the same things entertaining. As an added treat as well as help me on my way to recovery I’ll be including both songs.

Enjoy! Or don’t…

Lyrics:

Ooh, my little pretty one, my pretty one
When you gonna give me some time, Sharona
Ooh, you make my motor run, my motor run
Got it coming off o’ the line, Sharona

Never gonna stop, give it up, such a dirty mind
I always get it up, for the touch of the younger kind
My, my, my, aye-aye, whoa!
M-m-m-my Sharona

Come a little closer, huh, a-will ya, huh?
Close enough to look in my eyes, Sharona
Keeping it a mystery, it gets to me
Running down the length of my thigh, Sharona

Never gonna stop, give it up, such a dirty mind
I always get it up, for the touch of the younger kind
My, my, my, aye-aye, whoa!
M-m-m-my Sharona
M-m-m-my Sharona

When you gonna give to me, a gift to me
Is it just a matter of time, Sharona?
Is it d-d-destiny, d-destiny
Or is it just a game in my mind, Sharona?

Never gonna stop, give it up, such a dirty mind
I always get it up, for the touch of the younger kind
My, my, my, aye-aye, whoa!
M-m-m-m-m-m-m-my, my, my, aye-aye, whoa!
M-m-m-my Sharona
M-m-m-my Sharona
M-m-m-my Sharona
M-m-m-my Sharona

Ooooooo-ohhh, my Sharona
Ooooooo-ohhh, my Sharona
Ooooooo-ohhh, my Sharona

Lyrics:

The girl looks good to me, good to me,
She looked like Pamela Lee
After nine corona’s

I began to kiss her,
Undid her zipper,
She looked like Claudia Schiffer
After nine corona’s

When I met her at the bar,
Se said she was on Baywatch,
When she got into my car,
She looked a lot like Sasquatch

BOW WOW WOW WOW WOW
Waaaaahhhhh

Nine corona’s

She kinda looked like Mr. Spock,
But she was Courtney Cox,
After nine corona’s

We were hot with passion,
We were mashing,
Cause she looked like Jennifer Anniston
After nine corona’s

Late into the night,
I rode her like a Harley
In the soft candle light,
She looked like Grant Farley

BOW WOW WOW WOW WOW
Waaaahhhhh

Nine corona’s

She was fat and stinky,
And kinda sticky,
But she looked like Christie Brinkley
After nine corona’s

She looked like Pee Wee Herman,
But she was Uma Thurman
After nine corona’s

In our 23rd position,
I think I got a whiplash,
She was really bitchin,
Except for her moustache

BOW WOW WOW WOW WOW
Waaaahhhhh

She was bigger than a Winnabago,
A way to go,
She looked like Lisa Kudrow
After nine corona’s

She was no Cindy Crawford,
Cindy Craford,
Nothing rhymes with Cindy Crawford
After nine corona’s

Open up another bottle,
I started drinking more beer,
So I could wake up,
Next to Heather Locklear

Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah
Yaaaaaaaaah

Nine corona’s

      1. I think vax is more so that you wont get it as bad when you do… in my case i thought it was the same flue as last december but it turned out to be worse. Lucky for me my job was oke and still is with me staying home till im 100% oke. Only took covid 2 years to track me down so i am happy with that…

  1. My Sharona? Brilliant! 🙂 Nine Coronas? Just as brilliant, even if maybe not politically correct these days! Well, that’s the important comment out of the way! Keep thinking I was maybe going to write something else! Ah yes, hope COVID passes soon and leaves you none the worse for wear! 🙂
